Fuzor AR- Hololens Manual

How to export your model from Fuzor to the Hololens

Step 1: Click “Hololens” (only available in VDC)

Proceed to step 5 to Skip QR code generation
Step 2: Click on Spawn Marker to place the QR marker on your model.

Step 3: Click the QR marker the click “Refit” Move the QR code to the desired location.

**Please take a note of the distance from surrounding structures to anchor your model correctly in the existing structure.**

Step 4: To print the QR code, click on the QR code then click “Generate” Save the QR code then print the photo on an 8.5”x11” sheet of paper to take onsite.
**See page 10 to Anchor model with QR code.

Step 5: To Skip Layer management and customization, proceed to step 4.
In the Hololens app, you can Edit, Create and Delete layers.
To Edit, select an existing layer to add or remove categories, customize level and parameters.
Create layers for customized groups that need to be isolated.

Step 6: In the Hololens app, click Upload to Dropbox, Google Drive or Local. Authorize your dropbox or google drive if these are chosen. Name your Hololens File.
**Please note- only use letters and numbers in the file name to avoid any errors.

Opening your Fuzor Model

Step 1: Use the Bloom gesture to open the Hololens Menu and use the click gesture to launch the Fuzor Hololens App.

Step 2: Place the Fuzor Hololens Page

Step 3: Load your file from Dropbox or from your saved files.

Note: Opening dropbox automatically creates Apps folder in the Dropbox. If file was saved locally, sign into dropbox on a PC and put the FZL in the Fuzor folder under Apps.

Step 4: Select your file using the click gesture

Note: Once opened in Fuzor AR, the FZL file will be cached on the HoloLens. Access the file without the need of internet with the following steps.

Step 1: Go back to the main menu and click on the folder.

Step 2: Click on the file. The option to Load or Remove the FZL will be available here.

**Please note- anything can be selected by hovers in dot over a button or element and saying “Click”

Move the Menu:

Hand Control: By using the click gesture and holding, this icon will move the menu where you direct it to.

Voice Command: If you can't find the menu, simply say, “Reset the interface.” The app will ask you if you want the interface moved in front of you. Reply “Yes” and the interface will be placed in front of you.

Exit the Model:

Hand Control: Select the Exit icon on the interface to close the current model.

Voice Command: You can say “Close the Model” and the app will ask if you would like to close the model. Reply “Yes” to confirm.
Move Mode:

Hand Control: Select the move icon. With a closed select gesture, the model will move with your hand within the field of view on the Hololens.

Voice Command template: Move the model DISTANCE UNIT DIRECTION

For example: Move 10 feet down.
Move 2 inches right.
Move 4 meters back.
Move 16 feet forward.
Move again (Will repeat previous move command).

*Please note: Asking to Move the model back will move the model back relative to you. This will appear as the model moving toward you. This applies to asking the model to move forward as well. It will appear that the model is moving away from you.

Rotate Mode:

Hand Control: Select the Rotate icon. With a closed select gesture, move your hand across the screen to the right or left within the Hololens field of view.

Voice Command template: Rotate ANGLE

For example: Rotate 90 degrees.
Rotate negative 20 degrees.
Rotate minus 20 degrees.
Rotate again (Will repeat previous rotate command).

Scale Mode:

Hand Control: Select the Scale mode icon. You can use the predefined scales or, with a closed fist, move your hand up and down to adjust the scale. The bar below will show what scale the model is currently scaled to.

Voice Command template: Scale 1 to Positive Integer (No maximum number)

For example: Scale 1 to 24.
Scale 1 to 150.
Scale 1 to 10,000. *Please note- at this scale, your model will appear too small to view details.

Measurement Mode:

Hand Control: Select the Measurement icon. Then, select whether you want feet or meters. Select your anchor points on where you want the tool to measure by clicking on the desired point. The numerical measurement will appear in the middle of the line as well as right under the measurement tool icon in your interface.

Voice Control: While hovered over the measurement icon, say “Click.”

Element Properties:

Hand Control: Select the Element Properties icon below. Then select the element in your model and the information will be displayed below the Hololens menu.

Voice Command: Say “Information Mode” then you can select elements by hovering the selection dot over the element and saying “Click.”

Layer Mode:

Hand Control: Select the Eye icon to show or hide layers.

Voice Command template: [Show, Hide, Isolate] Layer Name

For example: Hide all.
Show Floors.
Isolate Casework.

Hand Control: Select the Annotation icon. Click the element your wish to make an annotation for, then speak clearly. Internet connection is required for dictation. What you say will show in the box below the menu.

Annotations will be uploaded to your Dropbox automatically. These can be loaded to your Fuzor file in the Annotation Manager.

Voice Command: Say “Annotation Mode” then you can select elements by hovering the selection dot over the element and saying “Click.”

Construction Sequence:

Hand Control: Select the Construction icon. The middle button will show what the site should look like today. Use the forward or back buttons to view future or previous days.

Voice Command Template: [Next, Previous, First, Last, Today's] task

For example: Today's task.
Next task.
Last task.

*Usable in Multi-User Collaboration

QR Code Anchoring:

Hand Control: Select the QR Anchoring icon. Look at the middle of the QR code that was generated from Fuzor and use the select gesture again or say “Click”. Make sure the middle of the QR code is lined up with the position that was selected when the QR code was generated (Please see Step 1 of How to export your model from Fuzor to the Hololens).

Voice Command: QR

Two Point Floor Anchoring / Point Wall Anchoring:

Hand Control: Select the Two Point Anchoring icon. You will be prompted to select a position on the model.

Voice Command: Anchor

Two Point method: If you select a point on the floor of the model, you will be prompted to select another point to choose a direction. Select the position on the ground to line up with your first point, then select a second point to mirror the direction you selected on the model.

Single point method: If you choose a position on a wall or door, it will prompt you to select the same position on the corresponding wall.

I lost the model when I scaled down.

Simply say “Reset the model” and the app will ask you if you would like to reset the scale and location. Reply “Yes” and the model will be returned to the original scale it was opened in and placed in front of you.
